About
Paralegal-grade work, AI-augmented method.
This portfolio demonstrates that an AI-augmented operator can produce the full range of paralegal and legal-assistant work product at staff-paralegal quality — from intake memos through trial-prep binders, across six different practice areas.
The method
Every artifact on this site is produced through a hybrid workflow: AI handles the heavy lifting of drafting, formatting, and cross-referencing while a human operator (David Ruiz, Top Virtual PH) makes the strategic calls — what theory of the case to pursue, what tone to set in correspondence, where the facts cut differently than they first appear.
On every artifact you'll find a "How this was made" disclosure panel. It names the AI method used, the points where human judgment was the deciding factor, and an honest comparison of the time taken versus a traditional unaided workflow.
Why fictional cases
Real client work belongs to clients. To demonstrate the same range of work product without ever using a real matter, this portfolio is built on six fictional California cases — fact patterns, parties, courts, and case numbers all invented. Every artifact carries a fictional-content stripe so it cannot be mistaken for real legal filing or advice.
Who this is for
- U.S. attorneys and law-firm hiring managers evaluating outsourced paralegal support — to see exactly what tasks can be delegated and at what quality.
- Paralegal students and legal VAs studying real-feeling artifacts in a no-stakes environment.
- Other AI-augmented operators looking at how the disclosure pattern is applied, end-to-end.
